In partnership with Cutlass Communications, Magnetic was invited to be the Graphic Design & Augmented Reality (AR) partner for House of Angostura. The mission was to transform the exquisite interior of TT Liquor (Shoreditch) into an experiential pop-up that paid homage to the decadent 1920s 5* Queens Park Hotel in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. The grandest and most venerable of the golden age of hotel bars.
With only 2 weeks until launch, the Magnetic team sprang into ‘creative savage’ mode. Pooling and swizzling our combined strengths, we set about the task of creating a vibrant & immersive visual experience to delight, surprise and amaze. Taking inspiration from the tropical landscape of Trinidad & Tobago, we injected exotic foliage throughout the printed surfaces that were speckled throughout the event space. Each surface was unique, stylish, and fully expressive of Angostura’s brand persona.
In total we created over 15 dazzling surfaces that spanned the range of print; from A1 boards, cocktail menus, multiple leaflets and even two attention-grabbing coasters. Each surface was laden with immersive AR, each with unique content to inform and entertain the audience around the rich history behind Angostura. From Spotify playlists to tasty cocktail-making classes, the AR offered a mesmeric universe of fun interactions. Altogether, Angostura’s ‘Queens Park Swizzle Hotel Lounge’ pop-up was an intoxicating celebration of National Rum Week.
