Emoji portraits or the post-modernism symptom

Who would have imagined celebrity portraits made entirely from emojis? Artist and rapper Yung Jake did just that, turning familiar digital symbols into surprisingly detailed works of art. A playful reminder that creativity and design have few limits.
According to Wired, Yung Jake used to create portraits of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Wiz Khalifa, Miley Cyrus, Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David and Rihanna.
Take a closer look at these portraits and you'll spot everything from cookies and hearts to animals, smiley faces and other familiar symbols from our everyday digital conversations. A sign of postmodernism? We'll leave that for you to decide.
