Get Creative This Christmas With A DIY Wreath

With Christmas creeping up on us, we thought it was time we shared an idea for you to get crafty.

This season’s hottest craft trend finds a pretty amazing use for a foam swimming pool noodle! Ornamental wreaths can be really expensive, but here’s a super simple method for you to design your own. Have fun getting creative!

What you will need:

  • 1 pool noodle (or 2 if you want a bigger wreath)

  • Duct tape

  • Scissors

  • Glue Gun

  • Ribbon

  • An assortment of different sized ornaments (make sure you detach the metal tops)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tube (or tubes) down to the size you would like your wreath. Then bend the tube into a circle and tape the two ends together using duct tape.

  2. Decorate your wreath. Start with the bigger ornaments and attach them sporadically using a hot glue gun. Then fill in the gaps with the smaller ornaments.

  3. Hang your new wreath up using ribbon.

Our Top Tip: Cover the tube before applying your decorations to get a consistent, professional finish. Gold spray paint looks great, or wrapping it in a fabric of your choice works well too.

If you loved this idea but want something a bit more challenging, why not try decorating your wreath with something a little different? Here are some ideas to help get your creative juices flowing…
