Save the children app —
Save the Children needed a digital tool that could speak to field workers and children alike. We crafted an experience that was warm, clear, and easy to navigate - no matter the user’s age or background.
Designing for children and aid workers in a single interface required a careful balance of tone, accessibility and technical clarity.
The challenge
Supporting real needs in real time

We developed a clean, flexible design system that stayed true to the charity’s visual identity. Every interaction was designed to feel helpful, not clinical. It included a modern UI, ensuring the interface was easily-navigable for users of all age groups. It was vital to maintain their joyous, colourful branding whilst highlighting the incredibly important work they do for young people worldwide.
Not content with stopping there, we developed interactive online learning modules aimed at both adults and children. After hosting workshops with underprivileged children, guardians and teachers to understand how each audience interacts with educational material, we tailored the language, creative and output to each group.
How we navigated it

With a great deal of preparation, care and attention, every detail was lovingly-crafted with the audience in mind. Save The Children’s new digital home serves to showcase the incredible work that they do for underprivileged children around the World. More than that, it’s a place for children to learn, engage and gain the digital literacy skills they need to thrive in later life.
The platform now serves as a trusted touchpoint, offering real value to real people.
