Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie and The Advent of Punk at Somerset House
Updated: Oct 20
Chris Stein, co-founder and guitarist of Blondie, as well as an acclaimed photographer, has taken thousands of photographs documenting New York City's punk scene.
Following the release of the book Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie and The Advent of Punk to mark the band's 40th anniversary of the band, Somerset House hosted an exhibition of the same name showcasing more than 50 photographs by Stein offering a glimpse into the rebellious era of the punk era and behind-the-scenes of the band lifestyle. Also, other icons from the 70’s and 80’s such as David Bowie, Andy Warhol, and The Ramones were also captured through Stein's lens and featured in the exhibition.
An exhibition not to be missed… until 25th January 2015, at Somerset House.
