Last week, London was baked in glorious sunshine. It was the perfect timing for an upcoming project that requires 360 panoramic photography shot in iconic London locations.
It was also the perfect realisation that from start to finish our day was engrossed with technology among technology.
From the moment we stepped out of the office and tapped a button on our phone to order an Uber, to using that same phone to pay for a Boris bike, and then using that same phone to compliment the use of a 360 camera. Our day revolved around new technologies and innovation and showed our appreciation for disruptor brands.
At Magnetic, we pride ourselves in staying ahead of the latest trends. But last week, as we got back to the office and ordered our Deliveroo for lunch, we realised staying ahead of trends is not so much something we have to consciously do; it’s something inbuilt in us as a team of millennials.
We don’t have to research new technologies to know what they are and how to use them (although we do enjoy doing this anyway), we naturally pick up these things as part of Generation Y living and working in one of the world’s most influential cities. We had to take a step back and reflect on just how lucky we are to be so involved in today’s ever-changing and dynamic world.
